Horizontal Directional Drilling

With our compact horizontal directional drill, we can install underground a variety of pipes, ducts and cables without the need to dig trenches. This is used when trenching or excavating isn’t possible or would be of high cost. For example; road crossings, river crossings, installing pipes under houses or other structures, as well as environmentally sensitive areas.

Our compact Vermeer directional drill is ideal for getting into tight spaces such as front gardens. It is narrow enough to work on pavements.

Directional drilling is a precision trenchless technique, where by the head is continuously monitored for depth, direction and pitch throughout the bore. The path of the head can be adjusted and controlled whilst drilling so that it can be steered to avoid services and obstructions.
